Anyone who’s visited the iconic Fort Worth Stockyards knows the legacy of The White Elephant Saloon, a staple since the 1890s. Inspired by its history, I set out to create an image that captures the spirit of the 1970s outside the saloon. With a classic car, vintage truck, a cowboy-led longhorn, and two ranchers posed at the door, the scene began to take shape. We styled the models in era-specific outfits from Studio 74, with help from American Hat’s team to ensure authentic cowboy hat shaping. With just 30 minutes to shoot and crowds gathering, everything aligned perfectly—and the final photo brings that nostalgic, Urban Cowboy vibe to life.
