I've long been drawn to the aesthetics of the 1970s–1990s, having grown up in the Mojave Desert during the ’90s. Inspired by vintage imagery and classic films, I set out to create a photo series reflecting a 1970s desert story from my hometown. This image captures a woman arriving at a dusty motel in her 1971 Ford Galaxie—a place where cowboys and drifters might’ve crossed paths. Shot at the iconic Four Aces film set, the project came to life after securing permits and production insurance, allowing me to bring this nostalgic vision to reality.
