In December 2022, I was honored to photograph the final branding of the year at the legendary 6666 Ranch, working alongside the cowboys and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan. After a cold, muddy day in the southern pasture, we regrouped the next morning at the iconic L Barn, sharing stories over coffee as the sun rose. I set out to create an image that captures the spirit, camaraderie, and dedication of these men—honoring their work, the land they care for, and the legacy of this historic ranch.
