Chaps have long been a vital part of cowboy life—rugged, worn leather built to withstand the harshest conditions, each pair telling a story. I captured this image near Globe, Arizona, after photographing a group of working cowboys. The old leggings were scarred with years of wear—torn by cacti and mesquite, accented with fringe, and paired with weathered boots held together by duct tape. Shot against a white backdrop in the afternoon sun, this piece highlights the grit, character, and tradition behind the gear. I call it The Old Ways.
