This classic symbol of temporary repair is the safety pin. Here, the pin is rusty and broken like so many of our systems. However, a new shinny prosetechic is lashed on as a temporary repair. If the pin is closed, it won’t even clasp. The title is referring to the generations that continue to fail to solve our most basic problems with impermanent solutions.
