Trained as an architect, Laura Betti approaches drawing as a structured, research-driven practice. Her works are composed entirely of text—often drawn from her own essays—meticulously rendered in pen and ink. Language becomes material, and meaning becomes form.
The Shape of Words explores how modern life, environment, and historical context shape human perception. From a distance, Betti’s compositions appear fluid and organic; up close, they reveal dense, layered fields of language that invite reflection and sustained engagement.
